Management Accountant (part qualified or finalist) | Manchester Central (Hybrid working 1-2 days per week in the office) | £40,000 - £45,000 + benefits

The Opportunity
Diverse, profitable and expanding PE-backed group have a requirement for a talented Management Accountant (part qualified or finalist ideally)


Your will support the Head of Finance and have responsibility for providing the business with hugely insightful, detailed and meaningful management accounts / management information.


The role has elements of core financial reporting / accounts prep (P&L, balance sheet etc) but alongside the business as usual you will enjoy project involvement and high degrees of interaction with the business / business partnering.


  • This is a fast paced environment with weekly reporting alongside the standard month end processes. You will be someone who enjoys working in a continuous improvement setting.
  • You will enjoy gaining a valuable commercial awareness of the drivers of success within the group and have opportunity to work on added value project surrounding: costs analysis and reporting, identifying margin erosion / margin protection, product andservice profitability review, enhancement of budgeting and forecasting processes, redesign of packs for senior leadership.
  • The business has ambitious plans for the next 5 years, the role would be a superb career platform for a finalist / part qualified accountant. It is a modern setting and an enthusiastic and driven leadership team.
You will be someone who thrives when balancing projects alongside key management accounting / month end requirements.


The role will provide valuable exposure to the leadership team / board of directors from the outset and you will enjoy working for a group that truly values the inputs and achievements of the team.


The role has high flexibility in terms of allowing you to balance working from home / working from the office in Manchester.


You will need:

  • To be working toward CIMA / ACA / ACCA
  • To have a demonstrable track record of success in either a professional firm of accountants or within a business amid growth.
  • Ability to work closely with colleagues in 'non finance' positions.
  • Confidence when presenting to a non finance audience.
  • Superb time management / organizational skills.
  • A highly proactive approach to making a positive impact and delivering change.
  • A natural enjoyment of working in a collaborative team toward shared goals / objectives.
