As we continue our journey towards this vision, Staffordshire University are seeking an exceptional individual to join us as Head of Business Intelligence.

Working closely with the Director of Data and Business Intelligence, they will provide strategic direction for business intelligence, focusing on delivering the highest quality data in a timely manner through both governance and quality process management.


With extensive experience in data analysis and the creation of meaningful management information, you will have a proven track record of developing business reporting to underpin management decisions and monitor performance.

You'll be supported to achieve this by your strong understanding of data integration between systems, transactional and reference data, and your ability to use this understanding to lead on the design and mapping of data architecture.

You must have experience of manipulating and interrogating large and complex datasets and have advanced skills in business intelligence software, in particular SQL, SSIS and PowerBI.


The Head of Business Intelligence will be joining a highly motivated and talented team, supporting colleagues across the service and will directly manage a small number of individuals.

Applications are sought from suitably experienced individuals with excellent communication and presenting skills who are able to demonstrate the leadership skills required to both develop the team and influence at a senior level.
