About Us:


HyBird uses Artificial Intelligence to build 3D reality models that support heavy industry by predicting and operational and maintenance tasks, remotely.

The role:

We are currently looking for an apprentice technician to carry out on-site point surveys. To do this you will learn how to use laser scanning (LiDAR) and multiple overlapping photograph (photogrammetric) surveys. These produce an initial result known as a point cloud.

From this you will learn how to perform data processing that allows us to build a digital twin of the site surveyed.


About you:


  • You should have a minimum of IT literacy to allow you to process data using pointcloud software. The role can also be quite physically demanding, so you should be highly motivated and comfortable collecting data indoors and out for extended periods of time. Specifically, we need someone who is confident about operating photogrammetry equipment.
  • Be open to travelling and performing onsite work for extended time scales (weeks)
  • Be able to collect data outdoors and indoors for hours moving around photogrammetry equipment
  • Be highly detail focused and have a good eye for spotting quality issues
  • Have clear communication skills

Salary:

£20,000 per annum.


Main responsibilities:


  • Conducting surveys on customer sites
  • Collecting data on customer sites internationally using LIDAR, photography and photogrammetry techniques
  • Processing point cloud data
  • Tagging engineering components within the generated 3D model
  • Analysing and interpreting point cloud data
  • Collaborating to determine project requirements
  • Preparing comprehensive reports based on point cloud data analysis

Entry requirements:


  • GCSE Maths and English (or equivalents) at grades 3+ (D or above)
You may also have a combination of qualifications and experience which demonstrate the minimum foundation needed for the programme. In this instance you could still be considered for the programme.
