Description

A long standing client of our based in Basildon is currently looking for a CMM Supervisor to join their already established team on a days shift permanently.

They are a leader in manufacturing and require the following;

Manage metrology team and schedule department work load.
Attend meetings to advise on measurement strategy with project and customer teams.
Make or offer suggestions on changes to improve measurement fixture strategy and design
Participate in process improvements to improve part quality
Training of apprentice CMM Operator / programmers.
Program / operation of CMM machines & Faro Arm Scanner
Carry out Gauge R&R / MSA Studies.
Carried visual inspection against the customer standards
Generate report documentation as required to customer expectations
Manage company calibration requirements
Uphold all polices in relation to health, Safety and Welfare

Requirements for the role

5 years plus experience programming medium/large CMM machines and Faro Arm Scanner
Ability to manage small team
Extensive knowledge of PC-DMIS CAD++ and Polyworks
Experience in the use of manual measuring equipment;
Be able to read, interpret drawings and CAD models.
GD&T Knowledge is required
Comfortable working to deadlines and tolerances;
Positive and flexible cando attitude;
Able to communicate at all levels and work effectively in a team environment
