Reporting to the Chief People Officer, you will be responsible for the day to day running of the generalist HR department, leading a small but amazing team in delivering a highly professional HR service across the employee lifecycle, from employee relations, performance management, wellbeing, equality, diversity and inclusion, employee communications through to coaching managers and supervisors in how to manage people practices across a hybrid workforce.


Main Responsibilities:


  • Deliver the identified priorities in the Simply People strategy to deliver our employee value proposition
  • Support delivery of the Company strategy and plan through the People workstream as part of its transformation programme
  • Provide data and insights to drive the People agenda, owning the dashboards and the oversight of our HRIS
  • Lead on reward activities, delivering an industry competitive and compelling reward proposition
  • Lead the generalist People department, ensuring company policies align with industry standards and legal regulations
  • Develop HR strategies that align with the company's business goals
  • Implement comprehensive strategies to promote a positive work environment and high levels of employee engagement
  • Evaluate and improve HR systems and policies as necessary
  • Lead the Company DE&I programme
  • Ensure all HR operations are delivered with a high degree of professionalism and compliance
  • Develop and manage the annual HR budget
  • Be an ambassador and champion for our values, delivering a dynamic and positive peoplecentred service

Experience and Qualifications:


  • Experience of leading high performing teams
  • Experience of leading People elements of transformation programmes and HR projects
  • Experience of a legal or professional services environment desirable
  • Experience of leading reward activities
  • Knowledgeable and experienced in managing complex ER cases
  • Strong technical and employment law knowledge
  • Proven ability to influence all stakeholders, through a matrix structure, driving change with a positive and adaptable mindset
  • Strong interpersonal skills and a dedication to promoting diversity, equity, and inclusion
  • Strong IT skills with mastery of word and excel
  • MCIPD or MA Human Resources Management
