What is the role?


The Passenger Operations & Services team operate across London Gatwick's two terminals ensuring the operation runs smoothly, that passengers have a safe departures and arrivals journey and contribute to the customer experience through the delivery of key services and projects.


The role supports the delivery of the capital investment projects into the operation working with our construction team as well as managing and supporting the delivery of a variety of smaller projects that enhance the customer journey & experience.


You'll learn how capital projects are developed, delivered and integrated into the operation and will develop key skills such as stakeholder management and an understanding of project governance processes.


This is an entry level role that would suit someone looking to learn how an airport operates, to develop their wider understanding of the aviation industry and help deliver a variety of projects of all scales that will support key aspects of the passenger journey and customer experience at London Gatwick.


What will you do?

  • Own the management of operational assets in Passenger Operations areas, ensuring safety and regulatory requirements are met.
  • Play an important role in project delivery including evaluation, selection, governance, completion and handover of CAPEX and OPEX projects.
  • Work with the wider Gatwick teams to support the delivery of key services.
  • Work closely with internal & external stakeholders and suppliers.
  • Work with the wider team on the delivery of a safe and efficient passenger journey
  • Support the delivery of the wider Gatwick customer experience strategy as required.

Do you have what we're looking for?

  • Strong planning skills and an understanding of project management
  • Significant knowledge of airport operations
  • The ability to establish and develop critical relationships across multiple stakeholders within the airport operation.
  • Ability to influence and communicate operational & commercial business issues effectively.
  • Ability to develop novel approaches to existing process and procedure to drive change.
  • Ability to work to a highperformance standard, and act with pace and energy.
  • Commercially and financially astute
  • A knowledge of analytical techniques and the ability to handle quantitative data
  • High energy and fast paced individual who is results driven and adaptable to change.
  • Data literate and highly analytical with ability to use data to drive improvements and understand customer profiles.
