The company:

Based in the centre of Ripon, we are looking for an Accounts Assistant to join our ICAEW registered firm of Chartered Accountants with 25 staff.

We are a well respected practice, offering accounting and taxation advice to a wide variety of clients.


The job role:

The full time office based role includes the following:

• To work within the existing accounts preparation team preparing basic accounts for sole traders, partnerships and incorporated businesses;

- drafting tax computations and small income tax returns;
- assisting more senior staff with preparatory work, including bank reconciliations and analysis;
- assisting senior staff with statutory audit work onsite with clients;
- preparing VAT returns for review and submission to HMRC;
- analysing information using excel;
- inputting information to SAGE, IRIS accounts software etc.


Hours:

Full time role, with 24 days holiday plus bank holidays.


Salary:

Salary commensurate with experience.
