We are looking for enthusiastic and motivated part-time/full-time general café counter assistants to work in our established busy family friendly café which is situated in a fabulous location overlooking St Annes sea front.


Job Purpose

Key Responsibilities

  • Serving customers efficiently within the food and drinks counter, serving of hot and cold beverages, hot meals and other food items.
  • Cash handling and using the till.
  • Preparing and cleaning of the counters and general café areas before, during and at the end of service to ensure they are ready for the next day.
  • Deliver an exceptional level of customer service with the ability to build rapport with customers, building solid relationships resulting in repeat business.
  • Being knowledgeable about the products and services in the café, giving advice, guidance and recommendations on products and menu selection to customers to ensure a positive experience.
  • Ensuring adequate stock levels of supplies and consumables, maintaining stock rotation, restocking as needed.
  • Providing assistance to other colleagues, as needed.
  • Managing queues and meeting customer expectations.
  • Actively promote and sell products and services. Upsell to maximise profit.
  • Following company policies and adhering to health and safety guidelines.

Essential Skills and Experience

  • Till experience is essential.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with other colleagues.
  • Thorough attention to detail, excellent time management and multitasking skills.
  • Team player skills, assisting other colleagues when necessary.
  • Experience and enthusiasm to contribute and fully support the running of the cafe, combined with the ability to work well under pressure.
  • Highly ambitious with a desire to playing a key role in the continued growth and success of the business.
  • Deliver an exceptional level of customer service with the ability to build rapport with customers, building solid relationships resulting in repeat business.
  • Be willing to learn, take instruction and work under own initiative.
Experience in a similar role is prefered.


Salary:
Excellent rate of pay.

Full-time, Part-time

Part-time hours: 12-30 per week

  • Monday to Friday
  • Weekend availability
