Purpose Statement:
Responsible for the analysis, creation, and manipulation of customer documentation necessary for the Costing process.


Key Job Accountabilities:

  • Create clear and concise communication to the Costing Team, Business Development, Customer Management and operations with regards to documentation gaps.
  • Understand and ensure costing solution follows Plexus guidelines, customer specifications, quote strategy and adheres to regulatory compliance and quality guidelines.
  • Interpret customer technical documentation and understand Plexus manufacturing capabilities in order to make intelligent make or purchase decisions.
  • Be able to transform customer strategy and documentation into appropriate structure and inputs for the cost estimation and tools system.

Additional Accountabilities:

  • Meet with Costing Project Manager (CPM) to analyze BOM and formulate questions regarding ambiguities or inconsistencies with the customer documentation.
  • Attend all required Kick-Off meetings.
  • Work with Component Analyst to provide, confirm and or clarify manufacturer component information.
  • Escalate issues to senior management regarding schedule delays, resource priorities, or other barriers to completing the project on time.
  • Meet with Costing Project Manager (CPM) to analyze BOM and formulate questions regarding ambiguities or inconsistencies with the customer documentation.

  • Distribute documentation to appropriate departments.
  • Work with Sourcing Engineer to identify the local supplier for all the CEC parts and uploaded it into Quote Win. *Applicable for APAC only
  • Attach all the CEC parts drawing, Fabrication drawing and Gerber into Quote Win.
  • Minimal travel may be required to meet the needs of the business.
  • Additional duties as assigned.

Education/Experience Qualifications:

  • A minimum of an Associate's degree is required; an Associate's degree is preferred.
  • Three (3) years of related experience is required; Three (3) or more years of related experience is preferred.
An equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the key job accountabilities may be considered.

  • Basic Computer Skills
  • Intermediate decision making, problem solving skills
  • Basic verbal and written communication skills
  • Prioritize multiple tasks, meets deadlines and communicates shortcomings to management.
  • Advanced knowledge and understanding of product related bom structure
  • General office equipment and materials

Work Environment:

  • The work setting should consist of an office environment with suitable lighting, comfortable temperatures, and a low noise level.
