Project Management Office - Project Specialist

About the role

As a PMO Project Specialist you will enjoy a varied role providing critical operational support to BMTs programme and project delivery teams across the UK.

You will be responsible for promotion and assurance of an efficient and standardised approach to project management; scrutinising, challenging, supporting and boosting the performance of the region's projects.

This will include providing BMT's project managers with support, guidance and training, and undertaking detailed analysis of management information and metrics for allocated projects and identifying opportunities to boost delivery performance.

There will also be times where you will provide direct bid and project management support for large, complex and/or high-risk projects.

In terms of location, we have offices in Bath, Bristol, Plymouth, Southampton, Weymouth and London, and we are happy to explore flexible and hybrid working arrangements.

Please note that travel to customer sites or to attend meetings will be required. This role is available full time or part-time (min 30 hours per week).

This is because we want the best people for our roles, and we recognise that sometimes those people aren't available full-time.

You will be comfortable in coaching and supporting project managers delivering complex projects, underpinned by a sound understanding of risk management, the ability to test schedules and budgets and your experience of evidence-based decision making.
