Description

To carry out as directed by the Grounds Maintenance Services Manager or Chief Officer, tasks of routine grounds works, horticulture, general maintenance and security on all sites and premises under the control of the Town Council.

Duties of the Post:

Maintenance of floral displays and grassed areas including the cemetery.
Maintenance and checks of play areas.
Maintenance of woodland, parkland, ponds and lake.
Maintenance of properties owned/leased by the Town Council and Trusts.
To work with and support other colleagues as appropriate.
To assist with occasional evening and weekend activities and events, including civic events, Christmas events, festivals, Town Crier competition, community events etc
Watering floral displays.
Regular safety checks, and ensuring health & safety guidance is followed.
Developing good working relationships with community, businesses, colleagues, Councillors.
All other duties reasonably associated with your role.

Knowledge and understanding of a wide range of tools and machinery

Good overall knowledge of Horticultural and general maintenance

Excellent team working skills

Initiative to work on your own

Full clean driving licence

Job Types:

£25,545.00 per year
