Fund Controller

£60,000 - £80,000 + bonus

Edinburgh, hybrid

Our client are one of the largest Global Asset Managers, seeking a Fund Controller within the Edinburgh office to take charge of all finance aspects for Property funds.

The recent acquisition of another large property asset manager has allowed our client to grow the operations control of acquired funds.

The Fund Controller will both oversee and help with the financial reporting function, effectively managing all fund accountingand third party services.

Responsibilities

Managing the finance processes for funds, including treasury management, quarterly reporting, accounts payable and oversight of uncertain debts
Assisting producing of financial for quarterly property, fund and investor fund management reports, with Asset Managers and the Fund Director
Liaising with Asset Managers on financial accounts for projects
Ensuring foreign exchange is maintained within the requirements of the funds, including sufficient liquidity
Working closely with the Fund Director on ad hoc investor questions, as well as investment valuation and maintenance of track record and KPIs
Monitoring of service charge accounts in line with Property Managers
Working with the Asset Management teams on ad hoc projects
Oversight of the production of statutory financial reporting requirements across the funds
Managing the external audit processes, maintaining external relationships

Key Requirements

Accounting qualification (ACA/ ACCA), with both practice and inhouse investment management experience
Strong financial accounting experience with Real Estate funds
Knowledge of property accounting and service charge
Good communication skills, due to maintaining relationships with internal and external entities
Exposure to systems, such as Yardi or Horizon or other, is preferable
Experience with audit processes
