Assystem is an International Engineering Consultancy with significant growth plans within our Energy & Infrastructure business here in the UK.
Our Defence Platform office is based in Derby where we specialise in the management and design functions of submarine and nuclear projects within the UK.
As Assystem's Defence business grows, we are looking for a dynamic, self-motivated Project Administrator to join the team. The post will be a mix of Hybrid working with attendance of meeting in our central Glasgow offices.
The role:
Our Client now stands at an important crossroad, with growth opportunities coming from different sectors, and even different countries.
We need an experienced, confident, self-motivated and empowered Communications Lead to support the business with external messaging and internal engagement priorities.
Key accountabilities:
- Measurement of internal channels and develop/test new channels
- Point of contact for Group Internal Comms
- Media training for relevant leaders
- External reactive crisis comms, including collaboration with Defence and Group Comms on external messaging
- Design, create and deliver integrated communications campaigns that support ambitions across all communications channels
- Online web presence for company information
- Manage, schedule and populate social media channels with relevant and timely content
- Develop messaging and support in person at key events
- Work with the HR Team and external stakeholders on the recruitment and STEM strategy.
- Manage, coach and support embedded, rotational Business Apprentices
- Delegated responsibility for External messaging/Incident Management Team in absence of Head of Marketing & Comms
MY PROFILE
Key Skills/ Experience:
- Media relations experience
- Understanding of the Defence industry
- Excellent at building and maintaining key stakeholder relationships both externally with media contacts and MoD and internally across all levels of the organisation
- Strong writing skills, with broad experience of drafting press materials, developing engagement campaigns and accessing/launching new channels internally.
- Experience creating and executing short, medium, and longterm communications and media relations plans
- A high level of exposure of using digital and other media outlets
Security Clearance:
Due to the nature of this role the successful applicant will require full Security Clearance to be undertaken. Due to this all applicants will need to be Sole British Passport holders.
