The shift pattern is Monday - Friday


To maintain and develop Resuscitation service provision across Clyde hospitals The Resuscitation Officer has operational responsibilities for education of clinical staff working across Nursing and Medical specialities in all relevant aspects of recognition and management of deterioration and cardiac arrest.

The Resuscitation officer will provide training opportunities to Advanced life support adult and paediatric level as required utilising Resuscitation Council UK guidelines and clinical expertise to guide current practice.

Underpinned by extensive knowledge of a wide range of acute clinical conditions, the Resuscitation Officer will provide expertise in teaching, leadership and guidance clinically and in the learning environment to maximise safe patient care The Resuscitation Officer will work with established Resuscitation Officers to enhance training opportunities by developing a training calendar and delivering training opportunities which meet the needs of clinical staff.


An integral part of the role will be responding to clinical emergencies to support staff, maximising patient care in the emergency situation The Resuscitation Officer will have an active educational role on the continued development of Prebrief/debrief tools.

In addition, will oversee established NHS GGC protocols and policies and further develop these as required to ensure safe patient care is maintained across the organisation The Resuscitation Officer takes an active role in any learning from adverse events and is a member of SAER forums when required in order to provide expert guidance around current resuscitation practice.
