BMI UK&I have a permanent opportunity for an Order Processor to join the team in Milton Keynes. This job is Monday - Friday (40 hours a week).


Role Summary
Accurately process and amend orders and build positive relationships with both internal and external customers.

Support the achievement of sales and volume targets, by maximising on orders, and correcting any queries and errors. Support the customer service representatives to ensure we provide excellent customer service.


As the Order Processor your key responsibilities will be:

  • Accurately process orders by direct order entry onto the Company's computer database and check and release orders.
  • Making outbound calls to customers to clarify any order queries where required. Seek written confirmation from customers if there are any amendments to the original order/quotation
  • Create and maintain professional working relationships with all internal stakeholders, in particular ensuring close communication with Field Sales on all account management matters, especially in the area of issuing and recording prices.
  • Ownership and accountability for their order book ensuring daily check are completed, including advising customers of their collection & process
  • Thorough personal performance contribution to individual and team results in line with the departmental KPI's to help the company meet overall turnover and profitability

As the Order Processor, your key skills and experience will include:

  • Computer literate
  • Intermediate knowledge
  • Willingness and confidence to make outbound calls
  • Willingness and openness to learning new skills
  • Selfmotivated with a good telephone manner
  • Professional communication skills both verbally and written
  • Keen eye for detail with the ability to spot errors
  • Ability to Handle multiple tasks effectively and efficiently
  • Resilience

Desirable competencies, skills and experience include:

  • Previous experience in a Data Entry / Order Processing role
  • Experience of working within a busy, fast paced and demanding environment with the ability to work accurately within strict timescales
  • Experience of sales order processing
  • Knowledge of SAP & CRM systems
  • Knowledge of products related to the roofing industry would be advantageous
