Hire Desk Controller - up to £30K base plus bonus & excellent bens - Bedford

My client specialises in supplying Non-Mechanical Plant and Equipment (via Sale and Hire), into the construction and event sectors, providing their customers with innovative products and services delivering the highest levels of performance and safety; they seek an enthusiastic, customer-focused Hire Desk Controller to join the team, an office-based position within a busy but relaxed atmosphere.

To be successful in this role, you must have excellent customer service skills and a professional manner, comfortable in customer service situations and working alongside the Sales Manager.

You will provide a prompt and efficient service to customers both internal and external, maximising all revenue opportunities and administer all associated paperwork.


Role duties include:

Ensure accuracy of all paperwork and that procedures for hire and sales contracts, purchase orders, stock transfers, asset administration, are adhered to.


  • Liaise with the warehouse to ensure equipment required for hire is available.
  • Coordinate Drivers to ensure equipment is delivered and collected from customers on time and efficiently.
  • Ensure all deadlines are met in relation to reporting of information.
  • Work within the Health & Safety policy of the company to ensure safe working practises.
  • Maximise consumable sales opportunities at every opportunity.


Due to the location you will require a full driving licence; and successful applicants will be required to attend interviews.
