RESPONSIBLE TO:
Pre-School Manager
Key Objectives
- To support the manager in the smooth running of the setting
- To manage the administration tasks required to run Lavenham Pre-School
- To assist in the financial running of Lavenham Preschool in close liaison with the Manager and Treasurer
- To liaise with parents, staff, the Trustees and outside organisations as necessary
Responsibilities Financial
- Maintain the Pre-School accounting system
- Issue, collect and agree staff time sheets with the Manager
- Arrange payment of suppliers and expenses
- Prepare payroll information for the Pre-School's accountants to process
- Issue invoices for fees and arrange collection. Advise Manager of unpaid invoices
- Complete and return Early years Funding Forms as required
- Identify and process Early Years Pupil Premium claims
- Reconcile Bank and Petty Cash Accounts
- Process all DBS checks for Staff and Trustees
- Maintain Excel database for all children
- Create registers and signing in sheets for all sessions
- Work with the Manager to manage sessions numbers and new admissions
- Carry out administration tasks for the Manager or Trustees as required

Person Specification Essential
- Ability to work on own Initiative and/with others
- Courtesy and reliability
- Good skills in literacy, numeracy and IT
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- Good time keeping and time management
- Confidentiality and discretion relating to the children in the setting
- Enjoy working with young children
- Safeguarding awareness
- Previous experience of an Early Years environment or School Office
- Experience in Early Years funding claims
Hours of working
Rate of pay dependant on experience.
Job Types:

Part-time hours: 7.5 per week
Salary:
£10.42-£11.66 per hour
