Royal Cornwall Hospitals NHS Trust is continuing on its digital and clinical transformation journey that will change the way in which we deliver care across Cornwall, the Isles of Scilly, and the South West Peninsula.

The Electronic Patient Record (EPR) Programme, eCare, will underpin everything we do for our patients, our people, and our communities, as well as creating a working environment renowned for excellence and innovation that enables our staff to deliver safe and compassionate care every day.

Key to the success of eCare will be the engagement and involvement of service users and staff in building, then delivering the transformation.

We are looking to expand our C&B Team to support this project.

Some existing team members will be moved to focus on the project and we will then need to backfill their existing positions in the BAU support side.

This recruitment covers both the project team and BAU needs.

You will be working within workstreams on eCare and will be part of the wider project teams. It is very much about cross-team working and flexibility whilst progressing the project forward. We are expecting eCare to go live in Spring 2025.

The Clinical & Business Team provide 2ndline Application support and we are looking to recruit a team to engage on the new eCare EPR.

Its an exciting time bringing in a brand new system and configuring it to meet the clinical needs for better patient care.

We will also be looking to close down many of our older systems with this move.


During the eCare Electronic Patient Record project the workload will need to focus on supporting the project and getting ready for Go-Live.

The team will need to be full time members of the Workstream developing the processes and supporting system design for an agreed area of scope.

The team will be Workstream Configuration Analysts and contribute to the data collection worksheets and testing.


As the project progresses we will move into the BAU support phase and be that essential support for the system Users.
