Wellbeing Coordinator (Part-Time 1 Year Fixed Term Contract)

Start date:
Autumn Term September 2023


Duties and Responsibilities

  • Play a key role in setting a culture within the school that promotes openness and understanding to normalise discussion around mental health and its fluctuations throughout life.
  • Work with key staff to support and champion activities that promote safeguarding and wellbeing across the school.
  • Work closely with designated safeguarding leads (DSL and DDSL), Heads of Junior and Senior Schools
  • Offer experienced pastoral support to children throughout the school.
  • Coordinate wellbeing meetings and support parents and staff as per necessary with pupils.
  • Contribute to the development of robust policies and procedures related to the safeguarding and wellbeing of all students.
  • Assist in identifying needs, determining potential risks and coordinating support or referral to ensure students have timely access to effective mental health support when needed.
  • Support, train and mentor senior pupils in the delivery of promoting positive mental health and wellbeing across both the Junior and Senior schools.
  • Offer staff and parental training/support in matters relating to mental health and wellbeing as required by Senior Leadership
- offer assemblies to promote positive mental health prior to/during challenging times such as exams.
