Talent Worx are currently assisting one of our well respected clients recruit a new Credit Controller to join the legal firm.
OVERALL PURPOSE
Credit Control and assistance with cash room procedures.
PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES
- Credit Control
- Primary function.
- Processing Firm and Client entries in a timely and accurate manner compliant with Law Society of Scotland Account Rules.
- Monitoring bank accounts for incoming funds and processing outgoing payments.
- Reconciling all bank statements, including EUR and USD accounts.
- Checking and processing Fee Notes and Credits.
- Reconciliation and posting of credit card statements on a monthly basis
- Assisting with other duties as instructed by Head of Finance.
Responsibilities:
- Credit Management: Unleash your expertise by assessing the creditworthiness of new and existing customers to set the perfect credit limits and payment terms.
- Collections: Put your proactivity into action You'll be in charge of reaching out to customers, ensuring those overdue payments are settled.
- Dispute Resolution: When it comes to billing discrepancies, Investigate and resolve any issues to ensure prompt payments.
- Customer Relations: Building bridges is your forte. Foster positive relationships with customers to facilitate smooth credit control.
- Reporting: Your knack for crunching numbers and analyzing credit risk will shine as you prepare regular reports for management review
Requirements:
Experience:
- At least 1 year of credit control or related financial experience to showcase your expertise.
- Financial Acumen: With your strong understanding of financial principles, credit risk assessment, and collections procedures, you're ready to conquer the financial realm.
- Communication Skills: Your communication superpowers, both written and verbal, will impress customers and colleagues alike.
- Negotiation Skills: You've got the finesse to negotiate payment terms and settlement arrangements like a smooth operator.
- Software Proficiency: Familiarity with accounting and financial software is a bonus in your arsenal.
- Ethics and Integrity: You uphold the highest ethical standards, treating financial matters with confidentiality and respect
Other information:
- 80% Credit Control role
- 20% other cash room duties primarily busy times (month end absence)
- Two stage interview. 1st interview will be with, Head of Finance. Competency interview based on CV and background/fit for team.
- Team consists of Head of Finance, Head Cashier, Finance Analyst, Finance Assistant, Assistant Finance; Trainee Legal Cashier.
Salary:
£25,000.00-£28,500.00 per year
Schedule:
- Monday to Friday
