Are you a self-motivated, hard-working, and organised Network Engineer who is looking for more responsibility and autonomy?

This position will challenge your design, implementation, and project delivery skills. You will specialise and have deep technical knowledge with respect to core networking methodologies and Cisco technology stacks. The role will also encompass other Infrastructuretechnologies such as datacentre, compute, fabric, security, and Unified Communications.

The Successful Network Engineer will be passionate about technology, solution-driven, and enjoy collaborating in the London office as part of the Global Systems Team

Technical skills required

  • This role requires experience working in a medium to large multisite professional services organisation.
  • LAN network systems, protocols, and standards such as Ethernet, Token Ring, OSPF, BGP, LACP, Trunking, VLANs, and TCP/IP.
  • WAN technologies such as MPLS, DIA, SDN and SD-WAN.
  • Experience working in a switched and routed environment.
  • Troubleshooting complex Hardware, software, and networks.
  • Experience with current network hardware
  • Cisco.
  • Strong knowledge of network management and analysis tools like DNA and SolarWinds.
  • Strong experience around security standards both internal and edge.
  • Experience in working in an ITILbased support environment.
Your Responsibilities

  • Act as the Technical Lead across some networking areas (unified comms, data center)
  • Influence the broader strategy for the department which will involve crossfunctional collaboration.
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation, policies, and procedures, including lowlevel designs.
  • Plan and implement any improvement, modification, or replacement of network infrastructure components, assuring adherence to industry standards.
  • Assist with occasional infrastructure/server support and patching out of other office core hours.
  • Identify major support incidents and liaise with support teams, following the Major Incident process. Inform the manager and senior IT Management of any escalating support issues in order that they may be resolved within reasonable time scales.
  • Responsible for the development, management, and ongoing maintenance of Network systems and appliances across the enterprise.
Soft skills

  • Strong communication skills/ability to influence and steer stakeholders.
  • The role will also be required to assist in selecting suppliers involved in any other assigned project deliverables.
  • Experience working in a geographically dispersed teamoriented, collaborative environment.
This is a global role with responsibilities across Europe, Asia-pacific, and the United States. The role will require international travel to our regional offices and datacentres as projects demand.


Salary:
£65-75,000


Location:
Agile working environment split between the London office and remote (as the job dictates).
