About The Role
MetFilm School is recruiting a MetFilm Futures Coordinator.

This is a new role to support the Head of MetFilm Futures with delivering on Futures activities for students across our four campusesin London (Ealing Studios and Garden Studios), Leeds, and Berlin.

MetFilm Futures serves as the link between our students and their place within the creative industries.

MetFilm Futures offers career planning and advice; puts on events including guest speakers and screenings; runs a jobs board; and offers curatedopportunities to ensure our students are inspired while they are learning and prepared for the world of work when they leave.


The MetFilm Futures Coordinator will work closely with the Head of MetFilm Futures to produce information for students regarding jobs, opportunities, and events at the school.


The role requires excellent administration and presentation skills; strong written and oral communication, and interpersonal skills; excellent planning and organisational skills.

We expect the Coordinator to identify student needs and make suggestions for ways to support them in the journey through film school; and to have ideas about how to connect students with industry.


Key Responsibilities
- to proactively look for opportunities for roles and work for students and graduates, curate and upload to the forum, so as to offer students a wide variety of opportunities in industry;
- to manage the Guest Speaker schedule and support the Head of MetFilm Futures in securing guests to ensure a diverse and interesting selection;
- to research and curate industry events and activities in London, Berlin, Leeds and online to point students to a good range of opportunities on offer;
- to keep the MetFilm Futures pages up to date and to produce the weekly MetFilm Futures Digest, using available resources including Sharepoint, Teams and Canvas to develop clear and attractive communications for students and graduates;
- to produce first class marketing materials for Screenings, Guest Speakers or other events or initiatives as needed;
- to support the Head of MetFilm Futures in the management of the programme of activities for recent graduates;
- to support the Head of MetFilm Futures in the planning, management and delivery of regular and ad hoc events for students and graduates;
- to assist with celebrating student successes by liaising with course teams to find excellent examples of student work;
- to assist Head of MetFilm Futures in maintaining relationships with alumni, and sharing their successes, and to maintain the alumni database.

Essential Knowledge and Skills
- excellent written and presentation skills
- strong organisational, interpersonal and communication skills
- ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines with good time management skills
- ability to interact effectively and flexibly with a wide variety of people, including students, tutors, administrative staff, and industry professionals


Desirable Experience
- experience in the creative industry (events or tv/film/content production)
- experience in the education sector
- first degree, or equivalent professional experience
