Reed is proud to be working with a leading claims management specialist, working on behalf of a leading global insurer.

They currently have vacancies for
Property Claims Handlers to join the team on a full-time basis.

You will be a valued part of the growing claims team, offering exceptional customer service and demonstrate your drive and determination to consistently go above and beyond for customers.

Roles are
full-time Monday to Friday, hours between 8:00am - 6:00pm (No weekends)

Salary is between
£20,000 and £24,000 depending on experience.

You will be based in their
Glasgow office, though flexible and
hybrid working is available.

If you stay elsewhere in Scotland, remote working is available for experienced Property Claims Handlers that can hit the ground running.


What will you be doing?

  • First point of contact for customers making claims liaising with various internal stakeholders
  • You will be taking ownership of claims from initial call through to conclusion, this will include negotiation, decision making and excellent customer service
  • Build meaningful relationships with customers, wider claims teams and brokers
  • As part of the claims team you will be required to review and resolve customer claims within authorised limits ensuring that both the customer and the business are satisfied with the outcome
  • Identification and resolution of potential fraud, repudiation and voidance
  • Be an excellent team player and actively contribute to a fun and supportive team culture

About you:


  • Ideally you will have
    Property Insurance claims experience, though strong telephony customer service experience will happily be considered
  • Exceptional customer service skills, ensuring policyholders receive the best outcome possible
  • Proven experience in promptly resolving customer issues and queries with satisfactory outcome
  • Ability to proactively review and finalise claims within authorised limits
  • Experience of working within a team and managing with varying workloads and pressures
  • Highly organised with strong attention to detail
  • Team focussed and supportive of your colleagues
  • Excellent activelistening skills: questioning, summarising, and reflecting with empathy
  • Able to effectively negotiate and quickly make decisions
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with a professional telephone manner
  • Experience of coaching and motivating colleagues
