How you will make Plan Zero happen


Mitie Controls are a leading supplier of BMS services and solutions throughout the UK and have built established partner relationships with the leading BMS manufacturers.


The activities delivered by this highly skilled team is ensuring optimal performance of new BMS installations and upgrades across our client's sites to maintain comfort conditions and drive down energy usage in our goal to achieve Zero Carbon.


Mitie Controls now have a vacancy for a BMS Project Coordinator / Manager, working within the Small / Remedial Works team.


The key objectives of this role are:

As part of the national BMS operation you will provide project management support for the BMS Remedials / Small Projects team.

This includes being responsible for the delivery of small to medium solutions primarily focusing on BMS remedial works generated by quotes and observations from the BMS engineers.


You will look to effectively manage offsite project activities creating and maintaining trackers and issuing RAMS to the engineering team and liaising with third party contractors.


Where required, there will be the opportunity to gain further technical experience on Trend BMS equipment that will allow the potential to support in the preparation and creation of small quotes.


What will you do day to day?
This role requires extensive interaction and working with Mitie FM leads and end clients, along with a disciplined and motivated approach to delivering success in the role


This will include:
The mobilisation of new projects / remedial works from receiving the purchase order through to delivery stage.


Coordination and project management of these "mini" projects, raising POs for equipment and services and working closely with the planning team to secure engineering resources for delivery of the works.


Building relationships with suppliers, contractors and Mitie FM contract / site leads and engineering teams to coordinate site access and comply with the site requirements for efficient and effective delivery of the projects.


Ensure evidence of the completed works is obtained from the engineering teams and is made available to the client to allow timely invoicing of the works.

Seek opportunities to gain greater experience of BMS through these small projects and by completing available training courses.


Who will you work with?
***You will be part of a Small Works / Remedial team of four. This team is responsible for £2m of small repair projects across the BMS service base within Mitie.

Mitie are at the highest level of Trend's Partnership scheme and have additional Partnerships with Tridium, Distech and Priva,

Whilst this role is based remotely, you will have daily interaction with the rest of the direct Small works team along with regular contact with the planning and engineering teams


We have 60 colleagues within the BMS Operation Nationwide with a support team working centrally from our offices in The Shard in London.


Experience & Skills
Ideally a minimum of 2 years' experience in some form of Project Coordination / Management role.

Knowledge of BMS specifically Trend, would be an advantage.

Have a good understanding of interfacing with suppliers and sub contractors

An excellent communicator

Enthusiastic with a passion for team and operational success
