  • The Materials Coordinator is responsible to ensure that all Deliveries, Shipments and Returned Equipment movements made on behalf of TechnipFMC Vessels and Projects are processed and completed in an efficient process in accordance with Company approved procedures.

Job Scope (budget, management, specific criteria):

To carry out the day to day operations of the Shared Services Logistics function, ensuring equipment required for the Vessels and Projects are processed according to current Company procedures.

By ensuring all orders are efficiently Receipted, Stored and Delivered correctly for onward shipment to meet requested schedules as required by stakeholders.

Main accountabilities:

The Materials Coordinator shall provide support in the delivery of an efficient service to meet the needs of the business by;

  • Ensuring Logistics procedures and processes are followed in the relevant discipline as assigned in Goods In, Shipping or Goods Return / Yard.
  • Goods are checked for Quantity and any apparent damage at each stage of the process.
  • Goods are as listed on relevant Purchase Orders, Delivery Notes, Outward and Inward Shipping Manifests.
  • Goods are as requested against Purchase Orders and Shipping Requests / Instructions
  • Information updates and document creation completed on Company ERP system.
  • Maintain good working relations and cooperation to allow for best possible delivery service between TechnipFMC, Suppliers and End Users.

Shipping function specific;

  • Maintain good communication with Buyers, Vessel Offshore Team, Project Teams and Shipping Agents to ensure delivery schedules are met.
  • Compliance with the Shipping process to ensure a Pre-Shipping list is created, equipment is checked and packed efficiently. Manifests are produced as required for each shipping unit and labelled as necessary with the required Customs documentation produced, prepared for despatch and passed to Shipping Agent.
  • Ensure all parties are aware and updated with the shipping schedule and are copied with relevant documentation and that subsequent Customs documentation is completed and recorded for each shipment as required.
  • Compliance with the certification process to ensure that all relevant certificates are available and on passed with each shipment to vessels and projects and the correct personnel are copied.
  • Arranging local & international transport for equipment as necessary for project and vessel requirements including Hazardous materials with complete documentation as required by Air, Sea and Road Freight regulations.

General;

  • Progressing assigned Logistics Help Desk cases efficiently, ensuring information is recorded and cases closed out in accordance with Service Level Agreements and to the satisfaction of the stakeholders.
  • Ensuring the Warehouse and Yard areas are maintained in a good tidy manner with good housekeeping rules to allow an efficient process flow for all functions.
  • Ensuring all work is performed safely and in accordance with current procedures and work instructions and that the principles of the 5S project are promoted and maintained.
  • Loading and unloading of vehicles using Company fork lift trucks.
  • Carry out general tasks as requested and assigned by Department Supervisors.
  • Report departmental activities to the Logistics Supervisors and Manager in such manner as required.
  • Liaise with TMOS, Equipment Department, Project Teams, UKBU Logistics Team and 3rd Parties to ensure successful completion of Logistics function and processes.

  • Previous experience in Warehouse and Logistics operations.
  • Relevant Operator Certificates for Forklifts.
  • Knowledge of shipping Dangerous Goods by Sea & Air
