About our school:


New Ways is an Outstanding Independent SEN School, both sites are located in Kings Norton and Stoke Prior in Bromsgrove, and caters for 11-17 year olds who have special education needs relating mainly to Autism.


The school offers an environment that is safe and low sensory alongside an ambitious curriculum which includes a suite of GCSE's and enrichment opportunities to ensure students achieve the very best outcomes possible and are fully prepared for their transition in to Further education, employment, training and adulthood.


This position is across two sites, access to a vehicle is a requirement due to the schools being located in Kings Norton in South Birmingham and Stoke Prior in Bromsgrove.


Overview of the role of Cleaner:

  • Cleaning certain parts of the school site
  • Vacuuming carpeted areas and washing floors
  • Sweeping uncarpeted areas
  • Emptying and cleaning bins
  • Spot cleaning of spillages
  • Cleaning desks, seats and skirting boards
  • Cleaning toilet areas and replenishing toiletries
  • Cleaning doors and windows
  • Checking stock levels of cleaning materials
  • Reporting all defects/hazards immediately
