Your Purpose
From September 2024, the DWP is evolving.

They are bringing together the currently separate Personal Independence Payments (PIP), Work Capability Assessment (WCA) for Employment and Support Allowance and Universal Credit (UC), as well as a number of specialist benefits under the new Functional Assessment Services (FAS) contract.

We will play a pivotal role in delivering this new contract, and your mission is clear.


As our FAS People Lead, you'll take the lead in implementing all people elements of the new FAS contract, including the complex and critical TUPE (Transfer of Undertakings Protection of Employment) and change processes.

This is no ordinary role; it's a chance to elevate your expertise while guiding our workforce through unprecedented change.


What You'll Do

  • Project Management: Lead the people workstream of the FAS mobilization. Ensure high standards of compliance and harmonization and represent us in supplier meetings.
  • TUPE Expertise: Be the goto TUPE authority, maintaining legal compliance, leading consultations, and ensuring a seamless transition.
  • People Policy & Culture: Protect the business from risk, uphold HR best practices, and maintain data integrity and accuracy.

The Opportunity


You'll report directly to the Head of People and Culture and collaborate closely with the FAS implementation team, wider People Team, Advo operational management, and other stakeholders.

This is a brand-new role, offering a 8-month fixed-term contract from March 2024. As part of the team, you'll play a pivotal role in shaping the future of our organization. Advo Health is ready for change, and we're inviting you to lead the way.

  • Educated to degree level or equivalent professional experience.
  • Achieved or working towards CIPD Level 5 or
  • Up to date knowledge of employment law
  • Knowledge of recruitment, development, performance and talent management processes
  • Significant experience in an HR generalist/ HR operations role
  • Significant experience of leading large and complex TUPE and acquisitions
  • Experience of supporting and delivering on significant organisational change
  • Experience of delivering improvements to people development, recruitment, culture, values work and employee engagement
  • Experience of delivering employment advice and guidance to managers at all levels.
  • Experience managing trade union negotiations
