Bachelor's degree or professional experience in Procurement

  • Experience in Microsoft Office packages (including Word, Outlook, Excel and PowerPoint)
  • Proficiency in using ERP systems (SAP, Oracle and/or COUPA)

Key job responsibilities

  • Providing Procurement support to crossfunctional teams at many existing sites. Managing the relationship with our internal customers
  • Supporting local Procurement activities related to new site launches
  • Identifying and managing a local supply base and managing supplier relationships
  • Working with the stakeholders to enforce and monitor Procurement policy compliance. Engagement with the wider EU Amazon Logistics team to make improvements and alignment
  • Leading, executing and supporting local and EU Procurement activities throughout project lifecycle
  • Partnering with other EU Amazon Logistics Procurement Specialists to consolidate the supply base and requirements at an EU level
  • Identifying savings opportunities and partnering with Category Managers to deliver savings through tenders, negotiations and contract renewals
  • Ability to communicate effectively with individuals at all levels to manage expectations and push back where appropriate
  • Be autonomous and take ownership of tasks and ability to make decisions

  • CIPS qualifications
  • German, French, Italian, Spanish language skills would be advantageous
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and experience of dealing with both internal and external customers/suppliers at all levels
