Part Time 30 hours per week working all year round, Fixed Term until 31st
March 2025.


We are seeking to recruit to a Deputy Family and Community Locality Lead to work across North Bristol Children's Centres.


North Bristol Children's Centres are looking for an experienced and motivated Deputy Family and Community Locality Lead to oversee family support services across the reach area in conjunction with the senior leadership team.


You will be passionate about meeting the needs of children and families providing a supportive and stimulating service and environment by organising community outreach, universal and targeted services and parenting skills training.

The role will involve working across a variety of North Bristol Children's Centres sites.


You will be required to:

  • Support the area Family & Community Locality Manager in developing and leading services across the area.
  • Work with children, young people, families, partnership organisations, the local community and relevant agencies to deliver the best possible outcomes for children and their families.
  • Assist and deputise in the absence of the Family & Community Locality Manager in providing family support for children and families.
  • Manage on a daytoday basis satellite buildings and family sessions.
You will be confident in establishing and building effective partnerships, developing, and managing projects. You will also promote good equalities practice and value diversity across the service.

**For permanent Bristol City Council employees, this post will be a secondment.

For employees who are currently on a fixed term contract with Bristol City Council, the secondment must not extend beyond the end of the fixed term period to ensure there is a substantive post to return to.
**If you are currently a casual worker or a member of an employment agency (currently working with Bristol City Council) this post will be a fixed term contract.
