Food, Beverage and Events Supervisor


An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the Food and Beverage team at Thonock Park as Food, Beverage and Events Supervisor, working part-time (up to 30 hours per week).


Reporting directly to the Front of House and Banqueting Manager, the Food, Beverage and Events Supervisor will be totally customer focused by consistently delivering excellent customer service with an informed, friendly and effective approach.

They will supervise all day-to-day operations of the F&B department and support the Manager and the Deputy Manager in providing training and implementing adequate procedures to ensure the level of service and operating standards are in line with the operating strategy.


Key responsibilities:


  • Lead by example with a friendly smile and a warming meet and greet to everyone
  • Ability to lead, supervise and motivate a team
  • Ensure all F&B personnel are dressed correctly
  • Ensure all F&B personnel have been fully trained and are competent in the relevant areas
  • Ensure all guest orders and requests are executed promptly and to the required standard
  • Ensure all point of sale (POS) transaction are made correctly and cashing up procedures are followed
  • Ability to relate to all staff and visitors/golfers from a variety of backgrounds
  • Ability to keep all areas, front and back of house, clean, tidy and organised
  • Be a key holder and hold responsibility for opening the building in the morning and closing, locking and securing the building after business hours
  • First Aider training will be provided if required
  • Be a competent Fire Marshal to perform full building evacuations training will be provided
  • Perform other relevant duties as directed by the Management Team.

Essential qualifications and experience:


  • Comprehensive knowledge of F&B and Event operations for individual and group dining, including service standards, table presentation, inventory control, cost control, health and safety POS systems.

  • Ability to multitask and manage time efficiently
  • Strong service standards skills
  • Excellent organisational skills and the ability to meet deadlines
  • Strong and confident communication skills.
