The Apprentice Building Services Engineer role

The Apprenticeship Standard

This is a level 4 apprenticeship and includes an HNC qualification and satisfies the educational base for an engineering technician as per the Engineering Council.

At Sir Robert McAlpine typically, we look for the below:

Have a passion for problem solving
Be interested in construction, engineering and the latest technology

The Apprenticeship course entry requirements are as follows;

A Level EEE
Must include Mathematics and preferably a Science in either Chemistry or Physics

Tlevel (Pass or above) in Construction: Design, Surveying And Planning

(UCAS points:

Building Services Engineering Technician level 3 apprenticeship MP

(UCAS points:
48) alongside grade Pass or Distinction at EPA

Access to HE qualifications with 45 Passes supported by substantial relevant work experience
Other equivalent level 3 qualifications worth 64 UCAS points supported by substantial relevant work experience
Applicants must hold 5 GCSEs A-C including Maths and English or equivalent (reformed GCSEs grade 4 or above).
