Global engineering and IT company that operates globally is seeking an additional lawyer to work on Government contracts within the EMEA region.

This will include both UK Government contracts and that of overseas Governments within the EMEA region. This global company provides technology-enabled solutions in the defence, nuclear, space and critical national infrastructure sectors. The role will be a combination of office working and being home based.

Reporting to the Legal Director, you will currently be working in-house or at a leading law firm and preferably have experience of Government Contracts either from a general commercial contracts' perspective or from a construction or projects background.


Any experience of the US Foreign Corrupt Practices Act and UK Bribery Act is also advantageous, as the role involves supporting the business unit on anti-corruption compliance matters.

Other experience which would be particularly useful for this role, includes Middle East contracting, nuclear industry, digital and data services, IP and data protection; Modern Slavery Act; and public procurement regulations.


Key experiences required to undertake the role include:

  • experience in reviewing, drafting, and negotiating complex commercial agreements.
- familiarity with and knowledge of a broad range of corporate legal issues affecting the business including limits of liability, indemnities, warranties and intellectual property, government CCS frameworks, and
- excellent organisational, presentation and process skills with the ability to follow through on numerous projects simultaneously under tight deadlines.
- ability to work well independently, coupled with strong interpersonal skills, resourcefulness, and a willingness to participate in a highly collaborative team environment.

  • A willingness to undertake overseas travel when required.
