Marketing InternCambridge / Hybrid / Remote
The role
This role of Marketing Intern is a 12-month internship starting in July 2023 and finishing in July 2024. Our program focuses on meaningful project work, and professional and personal development, in addition to providing networking opportunities.
As the Marketing Intern, you will be responsible for various projects within our commercial marketing department, as well as supporting our wider Europe Sales teams in the region.
As our Marketing Intern, you will have a keen interest in marketing and studying within a BSc program experience and knowledge in the life science field (Bachelor's degree in Biotechnology, Biology, Genetics or related fields) You will be keen to learn, hardworking and adaptable.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct online research using publicly available sources to collect and analyse relevant information on biobanks and disease cohorts
- Organise and categorise the collected information into a database
- Collaborate with the team to continuously improve the database and ensure its accuracy and effectiveness
- Assist in the early qualification of identified accounts based on specific criteria
- Develop and create sales support tools to aid in sales efforts
- Communicate effectively with team members and stakeholders, providing updates on progress and any issues that arise.
Preferred Requirements:
- Excellent research and analytical skills, with the ability to gather information from various sources and summarize findings in a concise and organized manner
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and management
- Experience with data organization and management, such as using spreadsheets or databases to store and categorise information
- Ability to work collaboratively with the team and communicate effectively with colleagues and stakeholders
- Ability to quickly grasp business objectives and handle multiple matters simultaneously.
- Strong problemsolving skills and ability to adapt to changing priorities or requirements
- The ability to work independently and manage time effectively to meet deadlines
- A positive cando attitude.
- Interest in the biotech or healthcare industry
- Interest in sales and marketing

Preferred Education/Experience:
- Typically, currently studying or completed their Bachelor's degree in Biotechnology, Biology, Genetics or related fields and no previous professional experience; or equivalent work experience.
- Strong MS Excel skills
- Experience with data visualization and/or data management software would be an advantage
