Up to £45K + Bonus

We are hiring a
Depot Manager for our client based in Leighton Buzzard who is experiencing an extended period of growth as a result of their continued business success and growth through acquisition.

As
Depot Manager, your role will be to maintain high customer satisfaction levels through excellence in dispatching, identifying, receiving, and ensuring the quality of products.

Measure and address the effectiveness of employee performance and warehousingactivities and employee's performance, organising and maintaining inventory and storage area.

Monitor and continually improve the Depot KPIs as set out by the National Warehouse Manager.

Role & Responsibilities - Depot Manager

Control and organise storage and inventory of customer products including live orders.
Management of the onsite team of supervisors and warehouse operatives.
Management of own driving crews, working alongside Fleet Department on own vehicle maintenance.
Ensure the accuracy of inventory and shipments, inbound and outbound.
Communicate position expectations and train employees on SOPs (Standard Operating Procedures).
To work with the QC Manager on all aspects of H&S (Health & Safety).
Define staffing needs and allocate workload.
Interact with stakeholders to resolve problems or answer questions.
Maintain records, utilise specialised reports (WMS
Warehouse Management System).
Implement new methods, processes, and improvements in line with the depot's vision.
Identify operational needs in line with the development of the workforce and daily workload.
Consult and organise activities with other teams and departments.
You will motivate employees to get the best from the team.
Manage all HR Issues including discipline, absence, capability, and performance management.
Maintain weekly reports/ hold weekly meetings with Commercial Department reference Budget/ Resource Control
Hit KPI targets, including Pieces per Hour & Failure %
