Description

Save the Children UK has an exciting opportunity for an engaging and solutions focused individual with extensive relationship building experience to join us as our
Partnership Lead where you will work with the Margate Early Learning Community and other stakeholders.

About Us
Save the Children UK believes every child deserves a future.

In the UK and around the world, we work every day to give children a healthy start in life, the opportunity to learn and protection from harm.

When crisis strikes, and children are most vulnerable, we are always among the first to respond and the last to leave.

We ensure children's unique needs are met and their voices are heard. We deliver lasting results for millions of children, including those hardest to reach.

The Margate Early Learning Community (ELC) is part of the Early Learning Communities programme, which began in 2018 in partnership between Save the Children and local partners across the UK.

The programme aims to make a sustainable difference to the lives of children growing up in poverty in communities across the UK, by taking a whole-system and evidence-based approach to improving early learning outcomes.

In taking a whole-system approach, the Early Learning Communities programme recognises that, while important, individual programmes alone will only ever be part of the solution to narrow the attainment gap between children in poverty and their more affluent peers.

In order to make a sustainable difference to the outcomes of children growing up in poverty, we need to transform how whole early learning systems support those children - recognising that there are many different people, organisations and services that play a key role.

By bringing together and supporting schools, statutory bodies, local charities, families and children in communities, and looking at the root causes of issues affecting outcomes in these communities, the programme seeks to enable communities to make a sustainable difference to the lives of children growing up in poverty.
