Model Maker

£35,000

Nottingham

Permanent position


This medical device company are looking for a new model maker to operate and run the state of the art workshop, working on medical devices which will improve procedures.

Heavily involved in the designs and R&D team to ensure the devices are as efficient and optimal when being prototyped.


Essential Requirements

  • At least 3 years' experience making functional models with extremely small scale features.
  • Extremely handson.
  • Excellent CAD skills (SolidWorks and/or Rhinoceros).

Desirable Skills and Abilities

  • Hold a first or upper secondclass degree in an appropriate model making degree.
  • Demonstrable experience with resin 3Dprinting and casting.
  • Experience producing and interpreting engineering drawings (both handdrawn and generated from CAD).
  • Experience working within a high technology field, e.g. aerospace or automotive.
  • Experience working with ISO13485 quality management systems.
  • Basic knowledge of clinical and biomedical engineering
