Bluestones staffing are working with a fabrication company in the Dungannon area who are looking to recruit a Health and Safety Officer.

The role - HEATLTH AND SAFETY OFFICER

To promote and ensure positive health and safety performances across the company.

To implement a safety management system, ensuring compliance with all relevant legislation and codes of practice.
To instruct and assist all staff in promoting a good health and safety culture.
Update risk assessments and safe systems of work.
Carry out accident and incident investigations and determine root cause.
Monitor, review, and update all practices within the company structure.
Constantly assessing improvements across the organisation.
Liaise with external services and consultants.

Working hours are 41.25 / wk (Mon - Thur 07:00 - 16:30; Fri 07:00 - 13:30)

Qualifications/experience,

Essential:
Proven experience in a manufacturing role, other areas will be considered. At least 1 year in a manufacturing environment will be considered.

Health and safety training as a minimum NEBOSH certificate.

Desired:
Membership of a professional body such as IOSH or working towards. Not essential.

Salary depending on experience £28,000 - £32,000
