Rotherham

£40,000 - £45,000
We are looking for an experienced Finance Manager with a strong working background within the construction industry.

You will be overseeing the finance team which will consist of two other people.

Your Job Purpose

As Finance Manager you should have a proactive attitude to work and have experience in and be able to demonstrate a proven attitude towards success in minimising costs / maximising value opportunities.

SCOPE

The role of the Finance Manager is to control all task finance related and to ensure the smooth running of the company's accounts, sales and purchases ledgers, whilst also managing key duties described in the 'principle accountabilities'.

You will have responsibilityfor supervising the Finance Assistant with their daily work load.

PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES

Bank Reconciliation
Post of Bank payments to Clipit
Raising & authorising any payments through bankline
Review subcontractor payments
Review agency payments
Pensions Update
CIS / PAYE / NI review and payment
Material Stock Costing
Debtors ledger report and comments to credit insurers
Preparation and Submission of VAT return
Preparation and submission of year end accounts for audit purposes
Preparation of P11d forms
Citb Return
Insurances liability, property and plant hire, motor insurance, credit insurance

Knowledge, Skills and Experience Needed

A detailed knowledge of Accounting; preferably within the construction industry
Minimum of 4 years Accounting experience
Excellent analytical skills to make informed, balanced business decision and reporting
Selfsufficient
Excellent communication skills; oral and written
Must be an enthusiastic selfstarter, confident, friendly and have a sense of humour.
Confident IT skills, proficient in the use of MS Office.
Must be flexible in hours of work, travel and hold a Full UK Driving Licence.
