Description

To support people with learning disabilities, complex needs and challenging needs manage own case load effectively under the supervision of qualified members of the team To complete specialist assessments and develop bespoke interventions within the Positive Behavioural Support framework To assist qualified members of the team in the development of interventions which are based on assessment outcome and the principles of Positive Behaviour Support.

Provide both direct and indirect intervention, advice and support. To monitor and review interventions providing timely and concise feedback to qualified members of the team.

Top support the team with admin duties as required Works alone with clients/families/other agencies as required following appropriate preparation and liaison with qualified members of the team.


To liaise with others / key people which may include families, paid carers, health professionals, social care, third sector workers and others who provide support or who are significantly involved with the person.

In some situations, may communicate factual and sensitive information to clients/parents/carers where there will often be significant barriers to understanding.

To participate in the production of formal reports and feedback outcomes to a range of stakeholders whilst maintaining appropriate levels of confidentiality.

To develop and provide client related materials.

To work within legal parameters, having a working knowledge of relevant legislation. To actively participate in regular clinical and management supervision, PDR and comply with all Mandatory and Statutory training requirements.

To contribute to the clinical governance infrastructure, assisting to ensure the delivery of high quality services through a process of service improvement initiatives, learning from adverse events and periodic review of individual/team approaches.
