The role:
Customer Engagement Delivery Partner
With proven Stakeholder experience from a regulated or technically innovative environment, you can take DCC's digital data network and the Government's net zero smart meter agenda, see the energy and telco customer provider big picture, and connect it all up through a communications strategy so homes and businesses can lead smarter, greener lives.
What will you be doing?
Unlocking complex messaging from DCC's project and programme delivery stakeholders.
Inventing creative communications solutions to internal and external stakeholder technical problems
Lead, shape and drive communications plans via multiple channels such as technical topic forums, external committees, and interactive customer engagement activities
Write and deliver technical messaging so external customer groups can simply understand complex messages
Represent DCC at industry forums to drive improvements in messaging, whilst acting as coordination for Smart Energy Code governed committees
Act as the dedicated SME for an assigned committee and/or forum(s) and manage the end-to-end forum lifecycle from a DCC perspective
Provide day-to-day management of DCC's bilateral engagement with key customers and senior staff within DCC, including ExCo and the Board.
Capture and evaluate feedback to ensure customer views are translated for the executive team and Board consideration as part of its decision making.
Measure and evaluate performance of Customer Engagement activities against OPR metrics and SEC scorecard to ensure outcomes are achieved and improvements implemented.
What are we looking for?
A strategic thinker.
Able to transpose DCC's strategy and complex messages, bring to life and co-ordinate messages, and build an aligned engagement plan to promote collaboration and support.
Experience in engagement planning, including assessment and determination of the most effective channels and tools for engagement, content development and measuring effectiveness.
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, and able to communicate confidently and effectively with customers and internal stakeholders, especially when delivering difficult messages.
Excellent influencing skills. Able to create a collaborative environment (with internal and external stakeholders) and influence how stakeholders work together.
Strong document writing skills; able to understand and interpret complex messages and transpose them into quality papers and/ or presentations for our customers and stakeholders.
This role is hybrid working model with office locations either in London or Manchester.
