Our client, a forward thinking, leading independent firm of Chartered Accountants are seeking an Accounts Semi-Senior to join their growing practice in Uckfield.

Working within the Audit & Accounts team, you will mainly be dealing with the accounts for a mixed portfolio of clients, as well as some audit work.

You do not need any audit experience, as training will be provided.

Duties will include:

Drafting and preparing client accounts/statutory accounts of partnerships and LLPs along with Tax computations
Assisting with audit assignments at client sites
Drafting Corporation Tax returns (CT600)
Completing Profit and Loss accounts, balance sheets of assets and liabilities and trial balance accounts
Drafting reports covering financial statements, client business issues, systems and controls
Liaising and communicating with clients, team members and management.

You will ideally have at least 1-2 years practice experience and be AAT qualified, although study support is offered to complete this qualification and then for ACA/ACCA if required.

A background in accounts, management accounts, double entry accounting and bookkeeping would also be an advantage, along with a good working knowledge of Caseware, Sage, Quickbooks, Xero, Alphatax and CCH systems.
