We are currently recruiting for an enthusiastic Board Support Co-ordinator with excellent organisation, inter-personal skills, and a can-do attitude to join our Group Company Secretarial team on a permanent basis.

This role will require occasional travel to our Edinburgh or London offices. The role will be based in our Alderley Edge office.


The purpose of the role is to assist in ensuring certain Royal London Board, Committee & Trustee meetings run efficiently.

You will assist in the flawless execution of processes including appropriate Board, Committee & Trustee meeting planning and delivery.

You will assist in maintaining and supporting the proper operation of Board, Committee & Trustee meetings. You will deliver a professional, efficient, and reliable service to all key stakeholders.

About the role

Forward planning and scheduling of Board, Committee & Trustee meeting dates.

Proactive management of meeting schedules, agenda planning process, matters arising and other matters relating to the Board, Committees & Trustee.

Organisation of meeting rooms, catering, travel booking, video conferencing and telephone facilities.
Distribution of meeting papers via a Board portal and coordination of meeting participants.
Planning and scheduling of Board, Committee & Trustee development sessions.
Production of attendance lists and meeting packs. Assist with ensuring that Board, Committee & Trustee meeting packs are distributed on time.
"On the day" Board, Committee & Trustee meeting support to ensure attendees are available and technology is working.

About you


Good interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate at all levels and work effectively in a collaborative environment.

Highly organised with the ability to effectively prioritise workload independently demonstrating initiative with a high degree of professionalism.

Ability to build effective relationships at all levels, demonstrating confidence in dealing with senior stakeholders, both internal and external, as well as colleagues at all levels within the business.

Relevant experience of working in a corporate governance function supporting Board level executives, preferably within a financial services or regulated environment, (useful but not essential).

Familiarity with audio and video conferencing and Board portals is useful but not essential, as training will be provided.
