Business Development Manager

Farnham - Field based

£40-50K per annum, OTE £100K + £5K car allowance
My client is seeking an experienced Business Development Manager to join their growing team based in Farnham. You will be responsible for actively pursuing new business across the UK enabling the continued successful growth.


You will:

  • Be actively involved in building the annual sales and financial targets
  • Create a strong and continuous pipeline of active leads and opportunities
  • Actively pursue sales leads and develop strong new business relationships
  • Understand the Channel Partners strategy, how it works and the benefits it brings to the group
  • Present weekly progress reports and ensure data is accurate
  • Deeply understand the client's needs and their expectations
  • Develop and prepare the client pitch and closing sale strategy
  • Identify new sectors for growth in the industry
  • Work effectively with other departments within the Group to maintain excellent standards of service
  • Hold an excellent level of understanding and knowledge of the clients products and services
  • Provide feedback to the business; industry news, innovations, marketing initiatives and competitor information gathered in your daytoday business interactions
  • Have a minimum of 45 years' experience & a proven trackrecord in new business B2B field sales
  • Be a confident negotiator and ability to close the deal
  • Have strong client management skills
  • Have the ability to work both independently and part of a team
  • Have excellent organisational and time management skills
  • Be capable of handson problemsolving, with ability to generate ideas and solutions
  • Have the ability to use own initiative and pay close attention to detail
  • Hold a full UK driving license with own car
  • Have a proven track record in exceeding targets
  • Have the ability to work confidently with financial data within a commercial environment
  • Ideally have a background within the Construction sector


In return the client offers 22 days holiday which increases to 25 days, pension plan, professional study support, healthcare and cycle to work scheme.

Working hours are Monday to Thursday 8.30am-5.30pm, and Friday 8.30am - 5.00pm.
