The Industrials team provide Citi's unique global commercial banking coverage to companies operating within wide range of manufacturing sub-segments, transport & logistics, and some others, providing traditional corporate / commercial banking products as well as investment banking products to its clients.

Our business partners include product specialists from Debt Capital Markets, Equity Capital Markets, M&A, Corporate Finance, Treasury Services, Corporate Derivatives and Private Banking.


This new and exciting Associate role has come on back of strong growth of the Industrials team in the CCB UK.

The role will be reporting to CCB UK Head of Industrials, will be based out of London (Canary Wharf), and with primary responsibility of supporting the bankers on servicing the banking & financing needs of mid-corporate clients, deepening existing client relationships and acquiring and onboarding the new commercial banking clients' across the Industrials sector.


Key Skills & Responsibilities:


  • Builds relationships with client network and operational teams, becoming a key contact for internal requests/problem escalation and resolution. Helps clients to access Citi's global network, locating local coverage and product support across the globe.
  • Provide daytoday banking support to the bankers.
  • Primary point of contact for onboarding, work on customer due diligence / KYC for new to bank clients as well as existing client base and handle documentation related to client onboarding
  • Close coordination with Operations, AML and ICG Partners on the KYC renewal process, with focus on supporting the firm's goal of achieving its KYC deliverables.
  • Ensure KYC and AML controls are in place for all new client requirements, through the established process and lead any control or remediation requirements relating to the produce space
  • Support account strategies by developing an institutional understanding of the client, eg; their treasury model and philosophy, funding model and cash management strategy and help build an efficient, productive and strong relationship.
  • Responsible for driving deals through CRM, initiate CRM workflow for account opening and other Treasury & Trade Solution (TTS) products, all support and documentation related escalations and wider implementation ensuring ramp up of revenue from deals implemented.
  • Coordinate / manage account structures assist with account opening/closing and ensure correct liquidity structure to meet client needs. Works as an integral part of the Banking Team and leads efforts to maintain and finetune the client's existing Product Solutions.
  • Work with billing team if/when pricing issues arise, Channels Services, Citidirect, CitiConnect etc
  • Develop relationships with clients and assist with routine payment and credit queries, confirmation of support, problem escalation.
  • Handle queries on other TTS products e.g. cards, receivables, liquidity structures, trade finance products, Wordlink, security account etc
  • Shares regulatory; market; product updates with the client
  • Manage existing base of key client relationships for transaction level support. Close coordination with CSG Network / Product partners, Credit Risk management Services (CRMS) and the Documentation Unit (DCU) for credit line set up and availment, ensuring that approvals obtained are in line with requirements under the Risk Policy and ensure timely resolution of data exceptions (facility excess or unmatched transactions).
  • Provide support where necessary for the coordination of RFPS's
  • Prepare facility; exposure and relationship data as requested by bankers. At annual review time, coordinate with the CSG network to review global facilities, and help make recommendations for potential changes/reductions
  • Work in partnership with Trade Implementations for the issuance and associated documentation for Guarantee's/LC's
  • Assist bankers in the coordination of adhoc regulatory/data review exercises, and help with data cleanup exercises, making the necessary facility adjustments where appropriate
  • Develop and maintain strong ties with Commercial Banking teams across the globe, in particular CCB colleagues working across the same sector vertical (Industrials) and CCB colleagues supporting subsidiary businesses overseas (Commercial Subsidiaries Group).
