Founders Factory's latest concept in the Mission Studio (backed by Nesta) is Ogma.


The Opportunity:


Ogma is an early stage company (pre-seed) harnessing the power of AI to revolutionise speech and language therapy for children.

We are a Founders Factory x Nesta Mission Studio venture.


We are seeking a creative, ambitious and collaborative Product Lead to spearhead the research, design and development of a revolutionary new AI product for children, that harnesses the power of play and AI, to involve them as active participants in the therapy process.


Twenty percent of children have speech and language needs and are twice as likely to experience mental health diculties and twice as likely to be unemployed as adults.

However, the NHS is backlogged and children are not getting the support they need.


Our vision is that all children can access the most eective Speech and Language therapy in the world, through the power of play.


We see an opportunity to use advances in AI to build a revolutionary Speech and Language service for children, which can operate with 10 x the eciency of existing care model.

This will be built on a rare, proprietary dataset, and advanced speech technology that does not yet exist, and which we are uniquely placed to build.


We are passionate about putting children at the heart of our products, building experiences that inspire wonder, and supporting children to thrive through the power of play.

You will be joining a team that works at lightning speed.

Within just 3 months we built our first product (the Ogma Assistant), with an NHS launch in the pipeline for April 2024.

We're now focusing on building out our D2C proposition, Ogma Therapy.

This is where you'll spend most of your time, working with designers, animators, therapists, parents and children to help us revolutionise the experience of therapy for all families.

\uD83D\uDCAA What we are looking for:
A Product Lead with a
passion for building exceptional user experiences for children. Ideally you have worked with a diverse range of children and understand what motivates them, what excites them.

You have a proven ability to design experiments for children, paired with
a deeply considered approach to ethics and safeguarding, and a grasp of the basic processes underlying **learning and development.

Pivotal to this role is the ability to hungrily
absorb complex technical information about therapeutic interventions from clinicians and scientists, and then translate this for other team members (designers, animators, writers, engineers etc) so they feel both informed and inspired to develop experiences for children that create wonder and, at the same time, are clinically eective.

You need to feel
comfortable sitting across the fields of art and science, and manage stakeholders from both sides.

Ideally you have a strong
hypothesis-driven approach to product development, which you can rapidly put into action using
scrappy and agile build approaches (e.g. maximising the use of low code/no code) whilst at the same time striving for a
high level of quality and integrity.


Finally,
a respect for research and evidence is a must for this role - we play in the healthcare space, and our products need to embody scientific excellence.


\uD83D\uDD28 Your core activities will include:

  • Spear-head the build of tech-enabled therapy for children
  • Collaborate with therapists, families and designers to iteratively develop techenabled SLT (speech and language therapy) interventions for children Be the no.1 hire in the product team, then build out key expertise as and when possible Conduct user interviews and testing to inform the design of our techenabled solution, making use of our existing D2C therapy service as a testing ground for rapid iteration Liaise with the Founders Associate to plan and implement a seamless endtoend process and parent flow through the existing Ogma Therapy booking process Regularly collate and present learnings from experimentation to the team, fostering a culture of experimentation, feedback and collaboration
  • Build on and solidify the Ogma Assistant oering
  • Collaborate closely with the Founders Associate and our freelance therapists, to design and implement tight user feedback loops Work with the engineer to act on user feedback with careful prioritisation, taking into account resource allocation and broader business targets (inc. actively design flows and screens) Manage the overall build process, including managing the roadmap, QA et
