Where You Fit In


The 'Mobility5050' aspiration (50% comes from Fuels /Electricity and 50% from Non-Fuel Retail (NFR)) reflects both a market opportunity related to increased mobility and out of home consumption as well as an economic necessity given that fuel volumes in many Shell's core retail markets have plateaued and are set to decline as internal combustion engines get more economical and electric vehicles represent an increasing share of the vehicle population.

The NFR offer is increasingly important to win in the emerging e-charging business.


You are going to be part of our Global Retailing and Operations team which consists of experts in all areas of non-fuel retailing from various regions and with both internal as external expertise to Shell.


What is the Role?


As the Pricing Lead, you are in the centre of developing data driven NFR pricing strategies, working in close cooperation with the market units and growing NFR turnover.


More specifically, your role will include:

  • Develop the global NFR Pricing Strategy
  • Provide leadership to the local NFR Markets to develop local pricing strategies leveraging the global strategy and knowledge.
  • Identify the right tools required to leverage pricing for NFR
  • Develop the stages of professional pricing and drive via the markets the desired outcome
  • Provide leadership to stakeholders in the markets, as well as in global teams. Work closely with markets, and IT to ensure smooth and fast implementation of NFR pricing
  • Work closely with Supply Chain to understand and work different option in leveraging supplier relationships
  • Develop a strategy on a market level for optimal Margin Management
  • Develop / gain a sound understanding of local Market levers to enable successful pricing.
  • Empower to develop professional reporting and management tools for new business models
  • Work closely with the Retail Data team to transform data into successful business strategies

What We Need from You?
As you are leading the development of the NFR pricing strategy and therefore have a solid knowledge of pricing strategies and can quickly identify opportunities and understand local market challenges


Furthermore, you have:

  • In depth knowledge of pricing strategies and development OR strong commercial acumen with proven track record
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills at all levels both locally and globally / multinational coverage
  • Ability to translate strategies into local market needs
  • Strong analytical skills to understand datasets and define direction
  • Ability to train and guide local Pricing managers
  • Able to build inspirational, cohesive and a high performing pricing community
  • Bold, courageous and outcome oriented, dares to fail, manages for success
  • Excellent communication skills coupled with the ability to engage and influence from senior executive level to shop floor in complex organizations
