DACBeachcroft has an exciting opportunity for an experienced
Senior IT Trainer to join our
IT team following an internal move. This role is full-time, permanent and will be based out of our Bristol office on a hybrid basis.


Reporting into the
Service Delivery Manager, the purpose of this role is primarily to deliver IT Training to End Users for 'Business As Usual' and project scenarios but also, as Senior IT Trainer, provide operational support on major projects and individual support to aid less senior members improve their performance within the IT Training Team.


Training Delivery:

To contribute to the management, design, delivery and evaluation of IT training, that continually meets the agreed business and individual development needs.

This is across both fee-earners and support staff, whilst promoting an environment of continuous learning across the firm at all times.

Main Responsibilities

_ Key Responsibilities - Training Delivery_

  • Produce supporting training materials, guidance notes, online courses etc to support training.
  • Support user acceptance testing for large scale initiatives and IT projects as required.
  • Facilitate the sharing of best practice amongst users.
  • Provide on the job training and coaching where required.
  • Communicate and adhere to the IT/Firm's policies and procedures.
  • Establish and maintain business and professional contacts and partnerships with the business, outside agencies and other training associates across the business.
  • Maintain continuous professional development, ensuring knowledge relevant to the business is kept up to date with industry changes.
  • Arrange training and maintain training records using LEAP, the firms Learning Management System.

_Key Responsibilities - Senior IT Trainer_

  • Assist the IT Training Manager to ensure that the IT Training Team is operating at maximum effectiveness to deliver training to End Users.
  • Assist the IT Training Manager to ensure that the IT Training Team maturity and operating standards are raised through delivery of defined IT Training Improvement Strategy and ongoing individuals' continuous development.
  • Act as lead trainer on major project rollouts that affect the IT Training Team.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both oral and written.
  • Good planning/project management skills.
  • Close attention to detail.
  • Knowledge and familiarity of Legal Technology Core Competencies Certification Coalition (LTC4)
  • Able to develop excellent relationships with other members of the firm, in practice areas, IT and other areas of Business Services.
  • The position involves significant travel to deliver facetoface training in our UK offices so the flexibility to travel with occasional overnight stays is essential.
  • Ability to work to deadlines in preparing and delivering training especially for project based work.
  • Proven working experience in instructional design and with instructional technology; knowledge of Articulate Storyline preferable.
  • Excellent knowledge of learning theories, instructional design models, visual impact and storyboarding (For example: TAP Diploma in E-Learning Design).
