Ontic, an aerospace industry leading provider of 'Extended Life Solutions' for Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) legacy and non-core products, has an opportunity for a Buyer to join our team based at our office in Staverton, Gloucestershire to support our continued success and ambitious growth plans.

What will you be doing?

You'll be responsible for the quality, cost and delivery performance of your allocated suppliers; ensuring the parts/services are supplied on time to support OE (original equipment) production and spares requirements of the business. In addition you'll also support the internal MRO (Maintenance, Repair & Overhaul) spares requirements directly or via 3rd party distribution contracts.

Within the role you'll schedule, place and manage all purchasing documentation to include design data packs, request for quotations and purchase orders to support the business material demand and meet the businesses' financial budget.

You'll manage the Open Order Book in collaboration with suppliers and the production planning teams.

You'll project and communicate cost variances (positive or negative) and deliver opportunities for a total cost of acquisition reduction suggestions and plans to support business financial budgets.

You'll attend internal supply meetings to support Value Stream forecasts and customer demand reviews, in addition to visiting suppliers in person when required.
