Course Overview
:


  • Studying parttime for 5 years at a Coventry University
  • Completing a
    Product Design and Development Engineer Apprenticeship
  • Level 6.
:


  • Leading to a BEng Hons automotive engineering design degree.

On-the-job Overview
:


  • Throughout the 5 years, you will be undertaking 80% on the job training and 20% off the job training.
  • You will be working with a highly skilled team and learning aspects of Engineering placements in Technical Project Management, Design (CAD & 2D Drawing), DVP (Design Verification Planning), Manufacturing Processes, Circuit Diagrams and Customer Interface.
  • You will have the opportunity to progress through the company and may visit Leoni Plant sites in different overseas locations e.g. Egypt, Romania and Serbia etc.

Qualifications/Skills
:


  • A minimum of 4 GCSE grades C (Grade 4) or above in Maths and English.
  • Have a desire to persue a career in Technical Project Management
  • To be successful, you will need to demonstrate your willingness to learn, have excellent communication and teamwork skills, and be competent with Microsoft Office programmes, in particular Microsoft Excel.
  • As this role will involve some travel to LEONI sites a full UK driving licence will be desirable.
