As our Interim Assistant Accountant you will assist in preparing, developing and

analysing financial information for the management team to use when making

well-informed decisions, which will help to secure future stability, growth and

profitability.

Salary £

Temp contract -March -December

You should have experience in an accounts assistant role

dealing with basic double entry bookkeeping and

experience in preparing accruals and prepayments. You

should have demonstrable experience in both sales and

purchase ledger. Experience in a construction environment

would be advantageous but not essential.

You will possess excellent analytical and organisational

skills, as well as the ability to manage deadlines. Good

commercial awareness is paramount along with strong

communication and interpersonal skills. An enquiring mind

and excellent attention detail is key.

You should be confident imposing journal entries, reconciling financial information,

maintaining accounts receivable and accounts payable and preparing financial

information.

You will work closely with the Management accountant to help deliver the monthly

management accounts to trial balance level.

You will create long term working relationships with departments to help deliver

robust management information.

  • Assist in the preparation of the monthly management accounts.
  • Carry out control account reconciliations.
  • Assist the management accountant to ensure the month end process are carried
out in line with reporting deadlines.

  • Produce basic accruals and prepayments for all entities.
  • Raise sales ledger project invoices ensuring compliance with reverse charge VAT
rules.

  • Help Resolve PO and purchase ledger queries.
  • Coordinate purchase ledger payment runs
  • Analyse project expenditure and communicate this with project managers.
  • Assist in the year end audit.
  • Assist with credit control for Group.
  • Provide adhoc management information where required

Job Types:
Full-time, Permanent, Temporary contract

Contract length: 10 months


Salary:
£25,000.00-£30,000.00 per year
